At Limpede Ink, we believe everyone has a story worth telling. But figuring out how to tell that story, and to the widest possible audience, can be difficult. Every aspect of the creative process—writing, revising, and publishing—presents unique challenges, especially if going at it alone.

With Limpede Ink, you'll overcome those challenges through working one-on-one with a seasoned editor familiar with your genre. Whether a novel, novella, short story collection, memoir, poetry chapbook, play, screenplay, or nonfiction series, we can help you assess the current state of your manuscript, develop a plan to revise and edit, and guide you through self-publishing or sending out your manuscript to agents or publishers.

Our expertise is attributed to years of involvement in the writing and publishing industry. We've served as workshop instructors, teachers, and publishers, and we've worked with agents, editors, and presses. In short, we know good writing when we see it, and we know how to help you get published.

Limpede Ink is a division of Carve Magazine LLC and was formed in 2016. Matthew Limpede chose the name as a tribute to his family's business and legacy of entrepreneurship: His parents' commercial paint contracting company was named Limpede, Incorporated — or "Limpede Inc." for short.

We work with writers of short stories, novellas, novels, memoirs, poetry, nonfiction, playwriting, screenwriting, or cross-genre.

We also have experience with both literary and commercial genres, such as speculative, sci-fi, fantasy, romance, historical, and more.

I have worked with Matthew on many pieces of writing over the past several years, and I have found his in-depth critiques, edits, and comments to be invaluable. Matthew’s feedback has always pushed me to improve each piece of writing I’ve sent him. What is unique about Matthew’s approach is his ability to demand more from the writer without ever becoming discouraging. To the contrary, Matthew’s thoughtful responses have always been a motivating influence that has helped me to achieve more with my work. I recommend his services as an editor and mentor wholeheartedly.

Without Bridget I would never have finished my novel, nor would it be of the quality I feel it is. She taught me to write with a critical eye and honed my craft. With her help, I transitioned quickly from a green beginner to a skilled writer. My manuscript, which she reviewed in its entirety, was selected by SMU for their Writer’s Seminar in New York. Bridget brainstormed with me about my project without taking it over. For anyone serious about writing, I strongly recommend her as a mentor/consultant. Bridget facilitated the accomplishment of my dreams: to be a writer.

I cannot overstate how valuable Mag’s feedback was to me. I expected this service to be useful, but it has far exceeded my expectations and hopes in every way. I’m so grateful for Mag’s time, energy, and expertise.
